“Realistic & Contemporary Impressionism & Abstract Paintings”
Kay started with watercolor then added collage. In her paintings she captures the beauty and feeling of the subject. Her liberal use of vivid colors brings a uniqueness to her paintings which reveals her strong ties and personal affection for the Southwest. Her more recent works are acrylic on canvas or board. She has become more contemporary, ranging from impressionism to slightly abstract. But she also continues to paint realism. Bright colors remain a constant in all her work. And she is always experimenting with new techniques and ideas.
Kay is a Signature Member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and has served on its board in various positions. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women.
